TWU Center for Women Entrepreneurs launches new round of StartHER grants

Texas Woman鈥檚 University鈥檚 Center for Women Entrepreneurs (CWE) will be accepting submissions for its StartHER Grant Program, which encourages women-owned businesses in Texas to undertake new and innovative projects, starting on Friday, Sept. 24. The winners will be announced on Friday, Nov. 5.
TWU Music presents 9/11 memorial concert ‘Home of the Brave’

The Texas Woman鈥檚 University Division of Dance presents the in a concert of premieres for the stage and screen Sept. 10-11. Fuchs, a professor of dance at TWU, is joined by a cast of students and alumni for an event two years in the making.
NSF awards $1.5 million to TWU team to boost STEM activities

This summer, the National Science Foundation (NSF) awarded a $1.5 million grant to a team of Texas Woman's faculty members to fund a project aimed at boosting enrollment in graduate biotechnology programs and promoting career success in the biotechnology sector. The team, made up of Drs. Juliet Spencer, Diana Elrod, Stephanie Pierce and Jessica Gullion, is launching TWU-SCALE, or Scholarships and Co-curricular Activities Leading to Excellence in the Biotechnology workforce.
COPE joins program to increase diversity in education

The TWU College of Professional Education (COPE) has been selected to participate in the Holmes Program sponsored by the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE), which supports racially and ethnically diverse students pursuing graduate degrees in education.
