TWU announces Florence Nightingale Collection acquisition

She was known globally as the founder of modern nursing and her pioneering methods in care were credited with saving countless lives. Now, a trove of artifacts chronicling the life and service of the world’s most famous nurse, Florence Nightingale, has a new home at Texas Woman’s University.

Merriam-Webster might want to consider an addendum to the word “prolific” in its dictionary. Perhaps it could add “see Justin Fontenot,” or post his picture under the entry. Since the fall of 2022, Fontenot has written or contributed to 27 editorial and research pieces that have been published in peer-reviewed nursing journals.

Moore awarded Fulbright nursing residency in Israel

Brenda Moore, PhD, a nursing professor at TWU’s Houston campus and director of the Center for Global Nursing and Healthcare, has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award in nursing for spring 2027.
